Welcome

Welcome to Turbar Australian Shepherds

I hope you enjoy our site!!

We are always updating, if you encounter a problem, please contact us

Turbar Aussies is located in Beautiful Rural Southern Alberta on 10 acres. We've owned Aussies since 1998 and have titled dogs in Conformation, Obedience, FlyBall, Herding and soon to be agility. We are proud members in good standing with CKC, ASCA and PASE

Our Aussies aren't "kennel" dogs; they are raised and live in the house with us as part of the family. Good dispositions are a must. All of our adults are OFA (hips) good or better, Elbow's normal, eyes are cleared annually and full breed panel done, this includes, HSF4, MDR1, CEA, PRA and others!

We are breeders. We spend a lifetime learning pedigrees, going over dogs, talking, and learning from those in our breed and those outside it. We raise each litter as if we gave birth to them and spend an equal amount of time finding them loving forever homes. We only put puppies on this planet that we think will be the healthiest (mentally and physically) and nicest examples of their breed. We support each family who chose's one of our puppies and let them know they are now a part of our extended family.
We are there if one needs to come back and will aggressively pursue the return of one of our dogs if it's in the wrong place. We support our breed in rescue and education. We hold them when they arrive and leave this world. We share our knowledge and socialize our dogs so that they will be the advertisement for our dedication. We don't keep track of the money and time we put in to our love of dogs, it would not be a true measure of how we feel. The price we charge for our puppies is never profit, but investment in the next generation. We are not ashamed of who we are... we work hard at being good dog people and encouraging others to be the same. We are breeders and we are proud of it.

That said, take a look around at some of our pups and adults. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail or call. I love to talk "Aussie" ! For more information on the Australian Shepherd breed, check out www.asca.org
